EU funded initiative driving Europe’s digital transformation by making our energy and transport sectors smarter, greener and more connected.
Europe is embarking on a transformative endeavour to modernise digital information usage, with a focus on enhancing the efficiency, sustainability, and connectivity of our energy and transportation sectors. At the core of this initiative lies the development of advanced Operational Digital Platforms (ODPs) that transcend national boundaries.
The BEGONIA Project, an EU-funded Coordination and Support Action rooted in holistic, collaborative, and connecting approaches, aims to expedite this digital transformation. It identifies, studies, and prepares the development of ODPs across EU countries, starting from the identification of cross-border use cases in the energy and transport sectors.
Throughout this 2.5-year project, an interdisciplinary team of experts from various European nations, focuses on facilitating seamless data transfer, exploring new ideas, and developing early case studies preparing for future works project(s).
Identify and shortlist digital platform use cases in the energy and transport sectors, preparing baselines fostering cross-border cooperation.
Conduct feasibility studies for the shortlisted cases to demonstrate the benefits in efficiency, reliability, and sustainability, in accordance with EU goals.
Prepare the digital platform for deployment with a modular and scalable microservices architecture while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Offer feedback to the Commission for the preparation of a new call for works to implement the deploymet and provide assistance to the awarded project.
Everyone has a part to play in this digital transformation. Whether you’re a business innovator, a policymaker, or a concerned citizen, your involvement can help accelerate our journey towards a more sustainable and digitally advanced Europe. Together, we can make a difference for the generations to come.To know more contact us!
